I would only buy a GT3 variant.

If I were forced to return to the Porsche Welt, I would return to a GT3 vehicle, which have improved tremendously and have recently become a double-wishbone suspension car. A more gentlemanly GT3 variant is the "GT3 Touring" variant which eliminates the b

The car is 2025 (992.1).

The buckets are the same as in your friend‘s car, the so-called 918 Spyder buckets. They are now discontinued. The 911 (992.2) has new buckets which are foldable. But I prefer the old ones as they are more filigree. I have a 911 T too which I really like

928 has double wishbone, even today, almost all Porsche 2-door cars do not have double wishbones; except for 959, Carrera GT, 918, and only the most recent 911 GT3 models.

The 928 is indeed the Porsche flagship that never replaced the 911. The 928, 959, Carrera GT, 918, and only the most recent GT3 models have a double wishbone; all the SUV and sedans Porsche has made have double wishbones. A double wishbone suspension is e

I was being somewhat overgenerous of my description of Porsche clientele...

Porsche clientele look at the Porsche brand as a more technically inclined brand. But if you look closely, almost all Porsche's 2-door models (with only a very few exceptions like the 959, Carrera GT, Porsche 918, and only the GT3 and GT3RS models in the

Now that they're finally putting double wishbone suspensions on the 911 GT3...

Porsche's two door sports cars (their sedans and SUVs are double wishbone) have been MacPherson strut for the longest time (with few exceptions like the 959, Carrera GT, and 918). Porsche is the only car brand that makes expensive cars that do not have a

Absolutely. It's a holistic package. And Porsche makes a wonderful package. BUT, they have huge room for improvement.

And overall, a Porsche's reliability alone made it a winner in many many races. Frankly, in a race, reliability is so important because many cars simply don't finish due to reliability problems - especially during the 1950s to 1990s where a lot of Porsche

The power of purple …

The most powerful series production Porsche ever made. This Taycan Turbo GT is capable of an incredible 1,108hp ! The Taycan Turbo GT has set a new lap record around Laguna Seca at 1:27.87 and is the fastest-ever lap by a road-legal EV. To put that in per

My True Sports Car Requirements...

1. Double wishbone suspension. Generally no exception to this rule, unless it's a multi-link suspension that is arranged in a method that is similar to a double wishbone. Porsche 2 door models, BMW M3, and many "popular" sports cars are all "McPherson Str

I don't think so Kevin, if you do a national search there are only like 10 or so available in the nation out of 1948 examples.

I think these will eventually be gobbled up and it will then follow the trajectory of the 911 R, 997 4.0 RS, CGT and 918 with time. This will unequivocally be the last NA speedster they offer with emissions tightening. If you think they are pricey now wai

Unfortunately, those sell for $100k over list and I was not VIP in order to get one at list.

But to be VIP you basically have to buy a new Porsche every year or a 918 when those came out, which means you were taking a hit year after year on your trade in. Figured, in the long run I saved money paying the $100k mark up vs taking a yearly hit well
